Maria Bostian, Community Outreach Coordinator with Kannapolis Fire Department, has been on the CMOW Board for three years and currently serves as the Board Secretary. She has a passion for helping older adults and does so in memory of her dear grandparents; S.M. & Dorintha Byrd and Eugene & Vivian Faust.
As a healthcare worker employed by Atrium Health Cabarrus, the health of our community members is near and dear to my heart. The delivery of a nutritious meal and the brief social interaction that is associated with that delivery make a significant difference in our neighbors’ lives. It helps to keep them healthy and out of the hospital. I am proud to have volunteered as a driver and now as a board member.
Our board of Directors is a working board comprised of local community leaders and representatives with expertise in varying areas including fundraising, marketing, law, accounting, information technology, health with emphasis on senior care, and overall passion for seniors.
Board members serve a 3-year term, attend regular meetings and special events, serve on two Board Committees, participate in delivering meals, assist in the recruitment of volunteers, and function as goodwill ambassadors and spokespersons for the organization and its programs.
