March for Meals
March is designated as National Meals on Wheels Month. Show your support by volunteering to deliver meals, donating to our March for Meals campaign, or by encouraging a senior to try our program. Our agency depends on the help we receive from our community. Without you we would not be able to meet our mission of ending senior hunger in Cabarrus County.
March for Meals is an annual national campaign to raise awareness of senior hunger and to encourage action on a local level. Senior nutrition programs across the United States promote March for Meals in their local communities through public events, partnerships with local businesses, volunteer recruitment and fundraising initiatives.
The campaign takes place in the month of March because it was during this month in 1972 that the law was enacted that included senior meal programs in the Older Americans Act.
Sunday Soup Sampling
Traditionally held in October, our Sunday Soup Sampling is our one and only annual fundraiser in-person event to support the work that we do here in Cabarrus County. When you purchase a ticket, you also support our mission to provide a hot meal and a warm hello to the elderly homebound.
At this event you will enjoy eating soups from local restaurants and caterers in a beautiful setting. In addition to soups, a variety of breads and desserts are also available.

Subaru Share the Love Event
From mid-November through early January, Subaru of America and its retailers join together to donate $300 for every new vehicle purchased or leased to the customer’s choice of participating charities. The national charity partners have been for several years: ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels, and the National Park Foundation.
Best of all, Subaru Concord selects Cabarrus Meals on Wheels as their Hometown Charity! This means you can select Cabarrus Meals on Wheels as your charity of choice, ensuring the $300 donation from Subaru stays in Cabarrus County to help feed our aging neighbors!
In 2023, Subaru Concord presented a check for $43,114 to Cabarrus Meals on Wheels, enabling us to feed more than 45 people in our community for the whole year!

Holiday Card Fundraiser
Every December, we raise funds by sending your Christmas/Holiday card(s) for you! For a contribution of $25.00 per card, we’ll send your friends, family, or business associates a personalized card, acknowledging your gift made in their honor.
Twenty-five dollars feeds a frail, isolated, elderly person for one entire week. Your donation will help us continue to carry out our compassionate mission of providing a hot nutritious meal to the homebound.
