Cabarrus Meals on Wheels was honored to receive the 2025–2026 Subaru Share the Love® Event donation from Subaru Concord during our annual Volunteer Appreciation Event on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Atrium Health Ballpark.
The special on-field check presentation celebrated more than a generous gift—it recognized a long-standing partnership rooted in compassion, community, and a shared commitment to supporting homebound seniors across Cabarrus County.
A Night to Celebrate Volunteers and Community Partnership
This year’s Volunteer Appreciation Event brought together volunteers and staff for an evening of connection, gratitude, and fun at the ballpark. Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner in the picnic area and time together cheering on the hometown team, the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers.
During the celebration, representatives from Subaru Concord joined us on the field to present this year’s donation—an inspiring moment that highlighted the power of partnership and community support.
The Impact of Share the Love
Through the Subaru Share the Love® Event, customers who purchase or lease a new Subaru during the annual campaign can direct a donation to one of several national charities, including Meals on Wheels America. The initiative, which ran from November 20, 2025, through January 2, 2026, continues to make a meaningful difference for seniors nationwide.
Over its 18-year history, the Subaru Share the Love® Event has donated more than $346 million to charities across the country and has helped generate millions of meals and critical services for older adults—ensuring they can remain independent, nourished, and connected.
A Lasting Local Impact
Here in Cabarrus County, the partnership between Subaru Concord and Cabarrus Meals on Wheels has made a tangible difference in the lives of local seniors. Since the partnership began, Subaru of America, Inc. and Subaru Concord have contributed more than $312,000 to support meal delivery, safety checks, and vital connection for our neighbors. This year’s generous gift of $35,460 will help us continue providing hot meals, friendly visits, and peace of mind to the seniors who rely on our services every day.
Every vehicle purchased or serviced at Subaru Concord helps fuel the work we do, transforming customer trust into meals, routes, and compassionate care for those who need it most.
