Volunteers are the lifeline of Meals on Wheels. Without volunteers we would not be able to feed our seniors.
Volunteers use their own vehicles to deliver hot meals to homebound individuals in Cabarrus County from an average time of 10:30 am to 1:00 pm on an assigned delivery route. You may work a scheduled day or on a substitute basis.
Volunteers deliver all through Cabarrus County, which covers Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Midland and Mt. Pleasant.
All route deliveries are picked up from and all coolers are returned to our office at 342 Penny Lane NE, Concord.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Be dependable and punctual for your scheduled delivery day.
Arrive at your pick-up site at appropriate time.
Call in advance if you are not able to make delivery.
Delivering Is Easier Than Ever With the ServTracker Mobile Meals App!
You simply download the ServTracker Mobile Meals app to your mobile device and the app gives drivers access to GPS coordinated mapping with turn by turn directions.
Meal pickup to cooler delivery usually falls between 10:30am to 1:00pm.
Please allow approximately two hours for meal deliveries. The time can vary slightly depending on the route’s distance from our office and client check-ins.
We use an app for that! We ask delivery drivers to download the ServTracker Mobile Meals App on their smart phone to access their route’s client list and addresses.
We also provide a printed out hard copy of the route’s client list which includes addresses, meal information, and special delivery instructions.
