March for Meals
Held every March in alignment with the Older Americans Act Nutrition Program anniversary, this campaign was designed to raise awareness and drive action.
The campaign encouraged communities to support local Meals on Wheels providers through volunteering, donations and advocacy. It also aimed to mobilize policymakers to fund and protect senior nutrition services.
Through local events, media outreach and volunteer involvement, March for Meals successfully advocates for seniors’ access to nutritious meals, helping to combat food insecurity and isolation.
Sunday Soup Sampling
We’re excited to share that our beloved Sunday Soup Sampling will be BACK, but is moving from its traditional October date to March to coincide with the national March for Meals campaign.
For many years, this event has been our one and only in-person fundraiser, bringing the community together over warm bowls of soup to support Cabarrus Meals on Wheels. Guests have enjoyed sampling soups from local restaurants and caterers, along with fresh breads and delicious desserts—all in a welcoming, festive atmosphere.
Each ticket purchased directly supports our mission to deliver not just a hot meal, but also a warm hello to our elderly homebound neighbors.
Sponsorships and silent auction donation opportunities will be available again this year.

Subaru Share the Love Event
From mid-November through early January, Subaru of America and its retailers join together to donate $300 for every new vehicle purchased or leased to the customer’s choice of participating charities. The national charity partners have been for several years: ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels, and the National Park Foundation.
Best of all, Subaru Concord selects Cabarrus Meals on Wheels as their Hometown Charity! This means you can select Cabarrus Meals on Wheels as your charity of choice, ensuring the $300 donation from Subaru stays in Cabarrus County to help feed our aging neighbors!
In 2025, Subaru Concord presented a check for $41,5010 to Cabarrus Meals on Wheels. This generous donation marks the 11th year of our partnership with Subaru, bringing their total contributions to an incredible $279,000 in support of our mission to fight senior hunger right here in Cabarrus County.

Holiday Card Fundraiser
Every December, we raise funds by sending your Christmas/Holiday card(s) for you! For a contribution of $25.00 per card, we’ll send your friends, family, or business associates a personalized card, acknowledging your gift made in their honor.
Twenty-five dollars feeds a frail, isolated, elderly person for one entire week. Your donation will help us continue to carry out our compassionate mission of providing a hot nutritious meal to the homebound.
